I've seen several post here that make me leary about removing the infamous white plastic spacer, for the same reason. I wouldn't be surprised if the bikes shipped to different parts of the US (like CA) and the Continent, didn't have different sized main jets, which could make quite a difference. Mine works great with the 'Trapp and the idle mixture screw drilled out and opened up a couple of turns. Mine breathes better than it ever has, with no flat-spots like that. It does, however, require a longer warm-up than it did with the stock muffler, which was about 30 seconds. Now it takes a couple of minutes. After that, it runs strong and smooth all through the rev range. Maybe it's the variability from one savage to the the next, I don't know. Hope this helps.
